The Great Rightfield Chalking of ’07

Well, the Great Rightfield Chalk Comic successfully made it through the day. It seemed to be well-received and thus far no one has been arrested. Let no man question the fact that Rightfield went out with some serious style.

This was no easy feat. After surveying the proposed area, I drew the comic in Illustrator and mapped it out into a tiny grid system. I printed miniature versions of the comic on sheets of paper so every person could see how the grid transferred onto the pavement. After that, we began drawing. It took five people two hours to complete the chalking, and we went through roughly eight sticks of jumbo chalk. See piccies!

Aww, It’s Just The Botany Club

Hey all! I don’t have much time to go into detail tonight, but I did want to get up the very first Base14 Comic (and last Rightfield). This strip can also be seen LARGER THAN LIFE right outside the Class of 50 Lecture Hall at Purdue University. At least until the next rain washes it away. For those of you looking for more Rightfield, I got your link right here. More details and photos coming tomorrow! Enjoy!
