Well, the Great Rightfield Chalk Comic successfully made it through the day. It seemed to be well-received and thus far no one has been arrested. Let no man question the fact that Rightfield went out with some serious style.
This was no easy feat. After surveying the proposed area, I drew the comic in Illustrator and mapped it out into a tiny grid system. I printed miniature versions of the comic on sheets of paper so every person could see how the grid transferred onto the pavement. After that, we began drawing. It took five people two hours to complete the chalking, and we went through roughly eight sticks of jumbo chalk. See piccies!

What a great way to kick off a year of exciting Base14 projects! Let’s hear it for everyone that helped make this abnormal masterpiece possible! Special Thanks To: Shauvon McGill, Andrew Preston, Alysha Kupferer & Brent Smith
Here’s to many more cool things to come!

Everyone has helper friends. You just need to ask.
