This was one of my earliest ideas for the comic strip, to make an owl outside the apartment that says "woot" instead of "hoot." It's just funny in a simplistic way.

The strips that ran two weeks ago about Sam writing a novel depicted him writing with his left hand. Since these were the first strips ever showing him writing, I decided he's officially left-handed. Sam was originally going to be named "John" in honor of my dad (and partially because my middle name is "Johnathan"). But since that didn't pan out, I like to think Sam is now left-handed in honor of my dad.

P.S. Phil is right-handed. And Glitch, being a robot, doesn't have hands.
